every time i change a nhdt, which is the thing in fron of your gun that tells you where to shoot, it changes all of the weapons to it. here, watch, i changed the nhdt to the machine gun vehi on the map. it only happens if i have the weapon i changed the nhdt with is my secondary weapon. the other one i'm holding will get messed up with it.

change the dependencies of the ndht instead of changing the ndht altogether.

Theres a tut you could use.
-That's new crosshairs, I'm not sure if he wants new or the ones within halo2, for ones within halo2, I just posted on it

Well thats a problem, you're just changing the ndht, change the dependncies from within the ndht. They are bitms.
It looks to me that you're just trying to change the crosshair yes?
Well to do that, open up your desired weapon's hud in entity (eg pr_hud.ndht)
Then in the meta editor you'll see this:

Then change it to crosshair (number 6...the thing up the top) like this:
Then from there, change the bitm to your desired one...To check which one you want, open the map in ch2r (ch2r is kinda glitchy in vista though), find the hud_reticles.bitm, use the old bitmap viewer, then start going through the list:

to
See how number 4 on the plasma rifle ndht was the crosshair, and then upon checking the bitmap file it was number 4 also? Well change that number 4 to the number of the crosshair you want and voilla, you should have a new crosshair.
I personally haven't tested this, but it seems logical enough and should be what you need...In terms of changing things like ammo counters and stuff, if you need that, just pm me or ask here and I'll post on that.

How come weapons like the battle rifle have a messed up crosshair in the bitmap?
