I opened up the model of it... it's too long, it's got missing pieces (such as the large cylinder on the side with the Marathon symbol), and other parts are out-of-scale, such as the thrusters on the rear. Not to mention, it has practically no detail...
There are no under-side front shields, there's an extra gun on the bottom... It has missing tanks, it's out of shape... simply put, it's not even a Marathon-class cruiser... there's WAY too much wrong with it. I don't know what class that it is, to be honest.

Did I go inside of it? Well, in the model viewer, you start out looking at it from the inside. It's hollowed out... it's not like they made the ship or anything. It just strikes me as odd that they put the Pillar of Autumn, which was clearly destroyed, into Halo 2, and not only that, but the ship that they put in isn't even the same class as the POA...

Not really; I think it was used as scenery in singleplayer.
Oh and parts of collision work, others do not, basically collision is fuxed up, and the inside though visible in Entity is only a black void! So much for my mod idea...Good sky scenery though.
EDIT: oh and its not called the pillar of autumn in the game--its the ship that Keyes pilots out of new/old Mombasa and to Delta Halo...

Isn't that from the Heretic cinematic, where the Arbiter says "It was called the Pillar of Autumn"? Also, methought that in the same level, they briefly show a cruiser ship that looks just like it pass by when that old guy tells MC to defend the station.
EDIT:
EDIT:
Wasn't it called something like In Amber Clad?oh and its not called the pillar of autumn in the game--its the ship that Keyes pilots out of new/old Mombasa and to Delta Halo...

No, the In Amber Clad was a completely different ship. It's much smaller, and it is actually docked with Cairo Station. You see it various times: When you first go outside of Cairo Station, when it follows the Covenant craft that jumps away from Earth, when the Flood commandeer it...
I understand that it is used as scenery, but it is not even the Pillar of Autumn, so I fail to understand why it is called the Pillar of Autumn when, not only is it NOT the POA, but it's not even the same class of UNSC cruiser. I believe that this ship is a Maraton-class, while the Pillar of Autumn is a Halcyon-class. Although I cannot gurantee 100% accuracy on this, I believe that, beyond most doubts in my mind, this ship is a Marathon-class.

What you are referring to is the FFG-142 In Amber Clad, which is a much smaller ship, which is a frigate, much smaller than a Marathon- or Halcyon-class cruiser, based on the designation "FFG" and details in Halo 2 and the books.JacksonCougAr wrote:EDIT: oh and its not called the pillar of autumn in the game--its the ship that Keyes pilots out of new/old Mombasa and to Delta Halo...

It looks enough like the original to pass as the Pillar of Autumn. Considering it only showed up for a minor second, I don't think they need to include that much detail in it. In other words, same as post 3. Bungie was lazy.
Besides, if you ask me, it really does look like a Halcyon-class vessel
You know what? I take that back. That really is a crappy rehash of the PoA.
