Help with my skin

Well, I decided I would try to skin Lockout to my liking, so I edited all of the bitmaps accordingly using DotHalo and injecting them over the originals. The only problem, is that when I play the level, I can't see the weapon skins at all. I also can't see the wall or ground skins unless I'm incredibly close to them.
The serenity patch is down below. Any help would be appreciated.
I was told it had to do with the shaders, but I don't know how I would go about fixing this.

When you save your bitmap texture, make sure you have "generate mipmaps" checked.

No, you don't have to restart. Just re-extract the image, open it in an image editor and re-save but with "generate mipmaps" checked. You can still use the images you made.

My skin wasn't that great anyways though. What is the easiest map to start off with to learn? I was thinking foundation.

any map is good, just remember every map is diff so they each vary in stuff

Foundation's fun but really its whatever you'd be good at, cliffs I find are hard but textures I can do well (metals, abstract, etc...).
And yes... color recognition is all good and all but I would say do it in stripes of similar shades... so you can see flow...
