DLC creation with entity

Post by james8492 »

I just used entity to edit a patchV3lvl file, the one which contains desolation and tombstone and i succesfully edited it (Contentmeta.xbx). Now i read somewhere that contentimage.xbx contains the image files for the maps and when i made the patch it made no mention of this file. Does it need to be edited to work on my xbox? and also what does the regular patch.lvl file do and is it needed?

I had the same question. If it's too touchy to speek about here, then please feel free to email [email protected]. I think I may be on the right track though.

The patch.lvl patches you main menu so Lockout works. The contentmeta.xbx editing is more likely something you shouldn't be talking about here. There are no public tools or applications that allow it's editing.

actually the patch.lvl does nothing in the new updates... :P

its not used inside the new autoupdates

and the contentmeta has a hash for the patch_v3.lvl so if you edit that you have to fix the hash, when you fix the hash, you need to fix the header for the contentmeta and when you fix the header you have to resign it to your xbox

good luck without tools :P
