failed. only w/ lockout

I know other people have been having the same problem i have. When i tr to load lockout off my xbox i get this:

The map is signed and everything. The only way i can play it is if i add it to the mainmenu as a new map :? But then i cant play on XBC with someone because i have to have the same mainneu as everyone else! :evil:

Help please

Your running Yelo right??

If so, I think that has to do with the Patch lvl 3. But yea you cant do anything about that

even without yelo it doesn't work. i just used yelo to take a pic of it

i think it has something to do with the update thing on your halo2 disk

are you using just the default.exe or are you using all the .exe things that are on the halo 2 disk

If you have your autoupdate disabled lockout will do that.

Lockout is linked to the patch_3.lvl file.

Yeah, I've run into this issue a lot. Does anyone know why it does this?

I've also noticed that it changed the picture. I don't remember it being that picture any time before in as long as I've been playing, except when I use Yelo.

Why is it that it's linked to the patcher?

Easy fix to that is to change it from scenarios\multi\lockout\lockout to scenarios\multi\l0ckout\l0ckout in both the map's hex and the mainmenu slot.

No need for hexing the map scenario, for the scenario name in the map slot, you just need to input: scenarios\multi\mapfilename\mapfilename
depending on the filename of the map.

So for example, if you map is named wipmod.map then you input for the scenario name:
scenarios\multi\wipmod\wipmod
And the menu will now load ANY map that is named wipmod.map

The maps actual scenario name of the MP map has nothing to do with adding it to the main menu as most may think. :wink:

Rebuild your content packages without the patch.lvl file and the problem will be fixed.

I had the same problem i ran yelo as well but i got mine 2 work :!: all i did was go to someones game and played in beaver creek first, then i was able 2 play in lockout with the auto update disabled!!! i think u cant host r sumthing like that 2 play lockout with yelo running....

^ Yes the map will load if your not the one loading it.
Example: The host starts the game on lockout and starts the countdown. You will load. But if you try to start the game countdown(if your host) it won't load.

wait, so we CAN PLAY THIS ONLINE? i didn't exactly understand, what do i do to make it so i can play this with yelo, playing like in multiplayer, not system link?
