Quick Q. about Entity

ok quick question, why is the bsp editor in entity so god damn slow? i have enough ram to run it (1GB) yet when i am viewing the bsp for earth_city4 i think it is, it runs really slowly. why is that? entity ue 1.6 btw

Have you tried using a different Entity??

Entity does that, the bigger the BSP the bigger the strain on your computer. You'd need more RAM to be able to view it at a normal frame rate.

My computer only has 512mb of ram and it can run the bsp viewer on any map without any lag. You need a better video card.

thats probably it then GeForce FX 5200. i should be getting a 6800 or 7800 soon, so if thats the problem, cool.

the main problem is definantly your graphics card
you should get a new one with at least 256mb of memory
