Turning down the lights

So I'm planning my first mod, and I want to toy around with changing the course of gameplay on a map without touching up on projectile swaps or revamping the whole look with a skin that will look horrible because it's a first time job.

I want to take Midship and make it Darkship. The only three things I need to know is how to darken the level a helluvalot (Light enough to see, but still needing a flashlight to survive), and if it's possible to change the colour of the lifts in the middle of the level. (Maybe some of the shiny crystalline floors that are laid out around, too). Finally, I want to make projectiles brighter (I'm assuming you can skin the projectiles in the same way you'd skin the weapon, but making them light up a bit more is a different story). Getting the idea here? It's just I'm so new to modding maps, it makes it difficult to put my ideas on other people's xboxes.

1: Use the uberlightmap tool to adjust the lighting of the map
2: You could possibly just swap shaders if you dont want to skin
3: Try the contrail editor

Or just do it in Entity BSP viewer.

Okay, I'm looking around sp for the honour guard elite.

The only trace of which is in the char tags, which is just ai isn't it?

Where is the honour guard :?: :?: :?:
