Modders beware... (Flame War)

Why has this thread become a hive for people to flame? I see it all the time, and around here more than anywhere else... even more than in the Downloads thread.
Okay, let's say that someone new asks for help on doing something. Don't immediately tell them to search. I use the search a lot, and quite often don't get the results I need. If you explain how to do something, explain how to do it in FULL detail. If you can't do that, don't bother. Don't tell the person "Do this, this, and this. And seriously, use search next time".
Now, let's say that someone suggests an idea to help someone with a problem. Don't flame the person that gave the idea. At least they are trying to help. All you're doing is causing problems.
Don't flame, people. It makes you look immature and rediculously stupid. It's quite pathetic that you have to say things about other people and try to make them look dumb because you have no right to talk poorly of other people when you are the one what has to talk *stuff* about other people.
In short, don't flame. People who start flame wars are not people that should be allowed to share in the vast pool of knowledge that is HaloMods.
Thanks.
Admins, I think it may be benficial to sticky this or add it to the rules or something, just put it where it won't be drowned by other topics.

Yeah, this is getting out of hand. Maybe not a sticky, but this needs to be addressed.

The rules already state that you aren't allowed to flame.

But people do it anyway, and it they go unpunished. I was merely stating that it has become a problem.

It has always been a problem, it's the users job to report the flamers, and the moderaters job is to punish them.

Folkluv333, I did not post this to argue with you. I posted it to state a problem. Let's not fight over it, okay? If you don't like what I'm saying, then don't post in my topic. Simple as that. I don't want to be told how you think what I'm doing is wrong.

I have no problem helping people, but I will not help people that don't use grammar. I don't mind imporper grammar, but when people say "lik hlp me plz i kant mak maps to ad too teh manemeanu plz help plz!!!," I don't know where to begin.
Also, of late, I have seen more people asking questions do the flaming than I have seen the people answering flame. This is a two-edged butter knife, you need to remember.

I just don't bother replying to people like that. If they can't take the time to spellcheck, they're not going to take the time to pay attention.

Unfortunately, the report post feature has yet to be set up and reporting a post does nothing.
The easiest way to avoid a flame war is to ignore it and don't reply.
The Admins have stated that if you have a problem/offender to report then post about in the
Complaints Section until they have the report system back up.

Yes "". That is the link to the compliants and suggestions forum. That's where you post this. This forum is Modding discussion. Not flaming discussion. The complaints and suggestions forum is where this belongs no matter which specific forum it pertains to.

The reporting problem
posted by Ketchup_Bomb in the Complaints and Suggestions forum...
Ketchup_Bomb wrote:Just a note to users, the report system is not working, if you couldn't tell.
As the staff browse the forum, and find stuff that should be removed, we remove it. However, not all of us hit every forum.
As such, if you find something that is breaking the rules, please go ahead and post a topic in Complaints and Suggestions.
Use this forum until the report mod is fully installed and working.
Also, if you find a topic that a staff member needs to look at, and you have our AIM address and we're on, go ahead and send us a message.
I don't bite... too hard.

this post is right where it needs to be.. as it is not addressed to the admins.. rather it is adressed to the people in THIS forum. So to get the messge said, this is the perfect spot for it..
