HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Hello people... I have a modded box in possesion. i have FTPed the maps and have backups... just in case... I came to halomods and checked out some of the downloadable maps... So i found one and downloaded it to my maps folder... New i guess, Santa's Workshop (looks interesting)lol.. so I have FLashXP and i FTPed the map over to xbox... ok... lol.. now what??? Just exploring, i rebooted the box and I have no idea what i need to do to the map file or some secret? lol . Um... so can someone help me by giving me a step by step process of how to get the map playable and any other tips or sumthing?

You don't download maps you download patches. You can find the patcher in the utilities section of the files forum. .serenity files use Serenity, .sppf files use super ppf and ppf file use ppf-o-matic. Once you patch a map you have to resign it, there are a ton of resigners out there, I recommend the one that intergrates into the shell. Once you resign you ftp it over to the maps folder of halo 2 which you should have on your hard drive, then replace the original map with the modded one. Enter halo 2 and play the map that you ftped.
