No starting weapon

I've searched this site and Google for how to set starting weapon to nothing. Can I make a mod with it or do I have to download and Action Replay it?

You need an Action Replay and the program Sav3r . Sav3r can edit gametypes and you just need to put it back on the Action Replay or you can ftp back into the Udata folder.

You could also go as far as adding no starting weapon as a selectable option in the mainmenu. Just go to haloplugins.com/forums/ and download the latset [sily] plugin for entity the edit one of the chunks of the starting weapon tag to enable no starting weapon

I managed to find my own way because Sav3r wont run on my PC. I went to the mulg tag using Insolence and nulled out the Sentinel Beam dependency, and then set it to starting weapon when I played. Sort of inconvenient, but it worked...
