Night in Zanzibar

Hey all, I just ran a search to see if anyone had modded Zanzibar to be night time. I came across a few mods that had "night" Zanzibar as part of a larger mod. All I want is only a night mod for Zanzibar. I currently need this night in Zanzibar for a film I am producing.

If anyone could make the mod for me, that would be greatly appreciated! :D :D Thanks.

taht is way to easy to do yourself, all you7 have to do is open UberLightMapTool and turn the darkness way down, and you may alos want to ajust the sky so it looks like night.

Right, I know how to do it, but I'm running a Mac on stranded desert here...

Thanks IISKETCHII. If you could just make it pretty dark, like 10PM-type-dark, that'd be great. Also, please, scatter the skies with stars.

Thanks.

alright Bemus...i got the map 10 oclock dark, a stary sky, and i gave master chief a flashlight to see around the map (not what you requested i know but i thought it useful...lemmie know if you want to keep it)

the only question i have is, I swapped the sky with midship's (a la Doom's suggestion)...ergo, there remains a moon, earth, and a sun.

i have replaced the earth and moon with stars but am left with the sun which casts light across the face of the rotating wheel...do you wish to keep this added light, or have it removed?

It really isn't that hard =p.

5 step quick tut time!

1.Open you map in dothalo.
2.Go to sky tag.
3.Open the midship sky, select the depedency window.
4.select the earthcity_sun.lens and in the drop down box set it to Null.
5. Click save and close your map.

Yay!

Good Luck!

Whatever you think is perfect for a moody night sky, where it's not bright but there's like a "moonlight" reflection over the environment. It's ok if this light reflection is from a sun in the sky. As long as it isn't bright like sun in daytime. Obviously.

Thanks, once you're done, please post the patch!

EDIT: But, of course, if Doom's dependancy swap works, please use that. And I definitely don't want it pitch black. I think you know what I'm looking for. A "haunted night" type of deal, where people could be barely seen sneaking around in the shadows, yet light shines quietly on wherever the moon does shine.

Whatever you can manage is fine. Once I get a PC, I'll be working on it too if your mod isn't EXACTLY what I'm looking for. However, I'm excited for your patch.

@ Sketch, Ignore the people that are smacking you around in your topic.... The community isn't in its glory days anymore unfournatly... Its gotten really bad and I am someone who has stayed in the community and helped people. Very few people are like me and willing to help where it is needed. And the file forums are all trash. Everyone get used to a certain level of modding and then they don't except anything below it. They flame the user till the break down. A good example is your topic. They belived it was below standards so they all got mad.

Once agian Sketch,

Your a champ, keep doing what your doing and don't let anyone get in your way.
