Okay, I have searched the net here and there, but I havent found any tutorials that have worked. I want to bring boarding action from halo 1, just the level mesh and texturing, to halo 2. Its that simple.

your best prayer is a BSP conversion. it would take an armada of the most experienced modders and hexers to pull that off. I may be wrong but i know its never been done. there are some frontiers of modding that can never be crossed. And that may be one of them

Sorry about that. Then since we cannot discus that, and since it seems impossible could somebody direct me to a working tutorial or thread on how to convert max files into halo 2. Thank you.

You can't, its never been done. You can't make custom BSPs yet.

Yes, but I know its possible to import new gun models into the game, so couldnt I import a model of the terrain I made from 3dsmax, and just replace the scenerio file?

you have to export the model to a .obj in 3ds max. Then use entity to import it into your map, but you also have to make LODs for your gun too.

just curiose wats so bad about taking somthing from halo and putting it in halo 2, its still made by bungie, and bungie already remade some of the halo maps themselves. i could understand if it were like doom or a call of duty map, but its the same game, just a prequil that has some cooler levels. just wanna know y its a problem

If it is the same game then why can't you get both games for $50 together. Also, bungie can use their own things as much as they want.

This is not the forum to discuss this the moddater said, however I am still going to put my two cents in. I own both games, I am making this mod for myself, I will not upload it; it is exactly the same as making a personal copy of a cd, or copying a cd to my pc AS LONG AS I DONT GIVE IT TO OTHERS. But the modater has a point, lets stop this discusion. Please lock.
