Removing invisible barriers and death barriers in campaign?

Im not talking about when I fall off the cliff on the edge of a level into the sea because I can understand thats just me being stupid running of cliffs...

But I mod all my campaign levels so I can superspeed and jump and sometimes, lets say on oldmombasa=outskirts im goofing around playing spiderman jumping around on all the tallest buildingtops and I decide to jump off a tall building and land in the courtyard wayyy down below. However during the fall I suddenly die in mid air. It dosent say I fell to my death or suicide or any mesage of death at all. I just die, and it restarts last checkpoint. It seems to happen anywhere on the map in which you manage to freefall a long distance. Regardless of whether or not you "should" die.

So I was wondering if anyone could help me take that out. I know people take invisible barriers out of MP maps like coag and zanzi and what not but Im not sure if this is quite the same thing or what but it seems similar to me so I hope its possible. I mostly use dothalo but I would greatly appreciate any solution available.

I thats not any death barrier, I don't know what tag its part of but you could just make yourself invuernble

Check the jpts, maybe, and change the damage of the ones that look like they could kill you from falling to 0. Just a suggestion, might not work =P

dude all u have to do is make urself invulnerable and then u can do wat ever you want... ex. falling in water will not kill you or falling from great height

In DotHalo go into the [hlmt] Tag and click on Materchief or Dervish, whoever you are using and check the Unit Has No Health box to make them Invincible.

Its probably because of the fall timer.

I was thinking about making myself invincible but I still want a bit of a challange while fighting the AI. I may use invincibility just for purposes of exploring parts of the maps i was before unable to get to but I still would like to find a way to do it without going god mode style.

Is there really a fall timer somewhere? That would make sence I just gotta find it :shock:

It's called "flaming death." You can edit the flaming death jpt's damage to 0 and you won't be killed by falling a given distance anymore, but I believe falling through a death barrier will still kill you.

you could use entity to move all the death zones somewhere under ground too.

Well now that Ive done a bunch of research on this matter I kinda feel like a super noob because of the way I titled this topic as barriers. Whatever is killing me on the fall is not stationary. It can happen any place in which I manage to freefall a given distance which therefore tells me that its not a barrier to begin with.

I think its a damage effect thing because its as if the game inflicts the blow on me after I have fallen that X ammount of distance. Problem is I cant seem to find it. I have tried to zero out flaming_death, distance, falling, and several other possible candidates under [jpt] but nothing has worked thus far.

I gave up and did the invincibility thing for now because its obviously the only solution I have found but if anyone does ever find a way to do this PM me or something.
