How do I do a BSP conversion?

I've been skinning for my new map for about a week now, and I'm almost done. I was just wondering how I do BSP conversions, as in, can anyone point me to a tutorial?

if you do a bsp conversion all your skins are gonna go to waste

Most likely your skins will go to waste. It depends on what you do.
