Looked at the other thread topics and didn't find anything like this, so i figured this could go here.

I recently bought my friends xbox, which he had an account on still in subscription, and i made a new two month to mod with. After i made my two month, i soft modded the xbox and modded all the new maps. I then went into matchmaking with some friends to screw around, it was all in good fun, nobody cared about ranking up, hell, the other teams even liked the mods. Anyways, i knew i was going to get banned, so thats why i went into matchmaking before i got banned from only playing customs, i wanted to see what it was like with mods. Well, the day after, i tried starting up matchmaking again so i could see what message it gives me, which was something like "One or more players on your Xbox has been permanently suspended from matchmaking...you can still enjoy custom games..." yada yada yada...

Anyways, i was just wondering what exactly they banned...I know i have friends that when they get banned they make a new two month and continue to mod...but this message makes it seem like if i try to play with any gamertag on this xbox i can't play matchmaking...which my friends old account is still on this xbox, but i have not logged into live yet with it...

So, did my G/T get banned...my EEprom...my IP?

Halomods doesn't support xbox live modding.
I am pretty sure it was only your account.

cheater? ok... ive been playing XBL for over two years... my friend sold me his xbox dirt cheap, and my other friend told me to mod it cause its so fun. then when i go on my other xbox and tell people that i modded my other one, they all wanted to see what the mods were like...only way to show them is by going online...? then when they saw how fun they are since i have the one where they can fly if their elites...they wanted to play matchmaking to mess around with people...turns out the people in matchmkaing loved them and i got a f/r from about 75% of them...so i dont know why everyone thinks all modders are evil...i mod for fun, not to get my rank up...its a hella fun time with your frineds, and since i recently moved from indiana, i really cant show them in LANs...

anyways, can anybody answer my question, or am i one of those "evil" modders because i went onto XBL with modzzzzz.

No one will answer you because you're an XBL modder. You could have easily shown your mods to your friends over XBC.

But modding on Live, disobeying the Terms of Use and End User Liscense Agreement isn't?

wow talk about uncool, why do you guys care if he mods on live 'just for fun' and violates his 'terms of use' yeah hes not supposed to, but yeah your also not allowed to REVERSE ENGINEER HALO. so technically we all violate the same little booklet and were all cheaters. Please close this.

This is not a question of whether or not we reverse engineer the game, this is about the fact that Halomods rules do not allow discussion of Live modding.

That's why we care! Now go read the rules and rethink your argument.
