how do i make custom in game names. like add symbols and stuff

ok i found it out but i canr figure out to make it work like a change the name and it doesnt change

Make sure you have SaVer. You will then need to open a gametype/profile in Saver. Here is a little tut on doing that:

Go into your FTP program and connect to your Xbox, then go to this directory: "/E/UDATA/4d530064/", as shown in this picture here:

Then, click on one of the folders with all those numbers and letters until you come across a file called either "slayer", "profile", or something els like "oddball". Then transferr the profile/gametype (whichever you want) over to your Xbox, as shown in the picture below:

Then, do the following:

this is the program to start you out, jefff produced this wonderful program to get you started, and to save you

alot of time hexing=)

so lets begin..

::TUTORIAL ON SAV3R::

1) First lets open up Sav3r by Jefff
2) it will load and show you all kinds of shortcuts on the right, we dont need those now though.
3) click on file at the top and go to load gametype or profile.

-::Tutorial on unzipping and finding the file to edit::-

1) well first you need to make a gametype in halo 2 and transfer it to your computer with action replay.
2) now you go to the action replay saves folder and find the file you transfered (it should start with

Halo2)
3) now extract the archieve anywhere, but just remember where the folder is.
4) ok so now you have to find the file to edit in Sav3r , so go to the file menu, and go to open gametype

and browse to the file you just extracted, it will have alot of folders, just keep opening them up until you get

to a slayer, oddball, capture the flag, or whatever mode you choose to edit.

4)Double Click on that file.

5) Sav3r will open this file and will display all the options in the program window, you can type in whatever you

want for the values.
Respawn Time can be set to 0 for nearly instant respawn
Name: can be editted to be any length
6) to put special symbols on the right that were mentioned before, double click on the one you want and it will

put it in the Name: field and then you can copy and paste it wherever you want it in the Name
NOTE: it will always put the symbol at the end

7) once your done editting, you go to File -> Save Gametype and click that once, BUT DONT CLOSE SAV3R!!!

now go back to where ever this tutorial is and the sav3r program

9) look for the file Sign (with a little domino looking thing) click that, nothing will happen visablely, but

something happened to your sav3r window, so now you have to save sav3r again.

10) go back to the Sav3r window and go to File -> Save Gametype and NOW you can close sav3r

11) if all goes well you can put the file back on action replay and load it in halo 2 and play your hacked

gametype

PLEASE NOTE: When Signing the Gamesave, it must be saved once first, then signed, then saved again, IN THAT ORDER,

or the gametype will be corrupted!
