i have done everything that i have to do to be able to mod, and i also have ADI and have changed things on lockout, now i just need help as to how to rename the map and make it playable on my xbox,

any help would be greatly appreciated

You don't need to rename it unless you add it to your mainmenu. Also you need to add Halo 2 to your HDD to play a modded lockout map, unless you burn a halo 2 dvd disc. To add Halo 2 to the HDD FTP to your box with Halo 2 in and copy everything in the D drive and delete all the Campaign maps for it and put it in your games folder in your E drive.

i have halo 2 on my 250 gb hdd via dvd2xbox, and i only renamed lockout, so that lockout won't be modded.

so after using ADI and editing lockout, i moved it to the f/games/halo2/maps file, but it wont show up on the maps menu, thats what i need help with

Okay from what I gather, you just moved the map to your folder, and didn't add it to mainmenu.map. Therein lies your problem.

You need to add the map info to the mainmenu.map for it to show on the list. There are many programs that can edit the mainmenu.map. Such as Dothalo, Insolence, etc. There are also many mainmenu programs. All you have to do is go to files.halomods.com and either take a look in the tutorials or downloads forums. Follow those tutorials/download those programs and you're done.
