Object spawn when proj hits wall...

Would it be possible to say have a br shoot a tire but have it come out like a projectile and then when it hits the wall - instead of disapearing it falls to the ground and stays a tire.
I've done both ways (gun that shoots a proj with the properties and model of a tire and a gun that spawns a tire but it just falls to the ground) but I'm trying to figure out how to combine them like when you have a gun shoot out a granade with velocity. The granade shoots out like a proj but doesn't disapear when it hits something and falls to the ground.
Is it possible to have a granade that never disapears from the map
