i'll tell you a tut right now,
first run your xbox with modded xbox, since you probably don't have a new better hd we are not going to copy the whole game because ur hd is not big enough
1-Make a folder called halo2 in your e\games folder or what ever is ur main drive if you have unleashx you may have to make a games folder
2-put ur halo 2 disc in
3- goto your file explorer program whatever it is
4-goto d should be like 6701 mb i think then copy the default.xbe in the halo2 folder, then make a folder called maps in halo2 folder
3-copy the fonts and media folder into \maps and then copy your maps so if your only gonna get the mp maps (With small hd)
-Copy mainmenu.map, and shared.map into \maps
-then copy, these maps into \maps ,beavercreek, burial mounds, lockout, coagulation, zanzibar, headlong, midship, foundation, cyclotron, ascension, coloosus, waterworks, and if i missed and mp ones copy them to
-ur done!

If it works off your DVD you have a good default.xbe. Try moving it over again or if you happened to have enough room (my friend has a stock HDD with the whole game on it) you could use dvd2xbox and then delet the maps you don't need.

upgrade your dang hdd. its not expensive and offers many advantages. then install a dash/app that will backup the games to hdd. unleashx works well, as well as dvd2xbox. there are others just look around.

from the above posts it looks like you have a modded box, upgrade the hdd to get the most from your xbox!

yeah, 250 gigs is really nice, if you have like $100. I'm lucky, I got a Hitachi 250gig hdd that had $80 of rebates -- so it only cost like $80 (10 more dollars than the 100gig one =)). Maybe you can find something like that.

I'm unable to load any of the maps, it keeps saying that I failed to load the map.
