If anyones ever tried modeling a vehicle they know that there are about 100 different obj files. Now i'm done with my model, but I dont know what to do next, I export the file, but then do I make 100 copies of it rename them like the original then replace all the original obj files with my model?

i think it depends on for what halo you are tryin.
halo pc or halo ce
for halo pc you need to have exactly the same amount of polygons as far as i know.
for halo ce it's unlimited(well, as much as halo's engine can handle)
i think you need to export it to one file though

Uhm wtf? This is neither, this is in the halo 2 modding section. And, sorry Modz, after my trial of Milkshape expired I just kind of gave up on modelling (not that I got anywhere with it in the first place), so I can't help you, sorry :S.

It would be a nice little app if you wouldn't mind releaseing that. I've had to rename crap lots of time but gave up because there were so many files. I'm not sure if it's possilble to just replace one model on the warthog but I read somewhere a long time ago that the animations stop once a model is injected. I'm not too sure of that though.

I tried once to remodel Master Chief. When I injected it, there was no animation. Well, sort of. The head would move but not right. Also, the neck and torso stayed so it looked really funny. The arms were rigid in front on him. The legs sort of flopped around, apparently still affected by the whole rag-doll Havok thing, but they didn't animate as far as walking.

that must be todo with the bones, no bones = no animation

Something about the way they're refernced then? Cuz they still show up, and judging by the fact that the head moved and the legs flopped, they must still be considered bones.
Anyway, I gave up pursuing it because injected models look like crap.

I didn't touch the arms or legs. I messed with the head and torso, then decided to do a test run to see if my efforts were being wasted.
.......They were.
