Shakey mach platform

So I'm messing around a bit with machs and I liked how the main_crusher from waterworks moves, and when it does it makes your controller rumble if you're near it. So I thought it'd be cool to use it for a platform in my map. Turns out it doesn't have any collision in the middle part (and it'd be a boring platform as is even if it did) so I swapped it's hlmt with another mach. Problem is, when I did that it moved at the same intervals as the crusher, but the direction of the move was that of the new mach.
So I figured it had to do with the jmad, so I swapped the jmad back to the main_crusher's. Now it just floats in the air without moving. I know very little about jmad editing/swapping, so I don't know how to proceed from here.
The final goal is to have a platform that just sits there and shakes like crazy. I figure I could lower the transition time of the mach and all that to acheive this but first I need to get it moving the right way. Any suggestions?
