hi all, im making a mod for Act 6 of Totally Random (so this might be a slight spoiler)

and i was wondering if theres a way to add a fusion core (i dont care if it has collision or anything, just as ling as its visually there) to the characters back as a "Proton Pack"

and if your ghostbusters fans you will know where im coming from when you see this...

if anyone knows a way to add the Fusion Core to MC's back as a backpack type thing, then please tell me.

This is the only way I can't think of adding it at the moment.

The Mc has a flashlight in the Bipeds attachmeants. Well I suppose you could just find what you want to spawn, replace the flashlight dependency in the bipeds attachmeant tag with the one you want. Then change the values in devmode to be

flashlight
ready
<null>

Then move the flashlight marker on the biped mode to where ever you would like the fusion coil to spawn.

but if i connect it to the torch, wont it move when the character moves his head, because i want it as a backpack, so it would look verry stupid if it was moving like buggery.

you guys are close. what i did was add variation information to the chief and replaced the flashlight marker with the marker for the variation. but i can help you with it when i get home from school.

I was thinking about something like this. My thought was to add either a chaingun or a rocket pod to MC and have it aimed over his shoulder. Haven't tried it yet, though, cuz I'm still debating on whether it would be stupid or not.

i dont think so considering all i am editing is the mode and the hlmt, not to mention my conehead mod didnt break it.

A mod with everybody running around with fusion cores on their backs would be hilarious. Or at least it would be if they worked. One shot to the back from a battle rifle and you're toast. If you're in a group: Boomboomboomboom. Killtacular!
It'd be a fun mod but it would be a good one.

ive added lots apon lots of stuff to stuff, like, putting boxes in the back end of the ute, putting soda machines in the back of the ute, and various other things in the back of the ute... and none of that caused a break in SLC

you usually only break system link when injecting new stuff to the map, not for adding stuff to an already existing tag.

but what about the X-17, it has an injected longsword, that came from Mainmenu.map, and its still SLC with unmodded xbox's

ah, thankyou for reminding me of question 2, Active Camo, i want to make it Infininte, and not fade out when the person with it takes damage....

how do you thnk i would go about that?

(im going to use a freaky alien for the ghost)

dont know how to make it imfinite but you can swap a grenade for it, and the camo ding on the weapons might be what you want to edit
