This may be a odd question for some of you, but here goes.
It appears Halo2 stores the material types of there collision models as a string id.
So this prompts me to believe there is a material string table look up in either the scenario sbsp or global tag?
Anyone seen anything like that.

matg has something like that, check out the ifp for that tag (under "materials" and "something materials") In something materials it has like 4 string ids and then a lot of dependencies
