I was doing a mod today for halo 2 and somehow my autoupdate files got deleted. When I loaded halo 2 and chose to download the autoupdate, my xbox just goes to the error screen and the light on my xbox flashes red and green. Ive tried to update a couple times but I still get the same message. Is there a way to fix this or get my auto updates back over pc?
Thanks

Thats what I was thinking but im not sure how to do it correctly. The only backup file I know I have is the eeprom.bin file but I dont know how it works. If anyone here knows where I can find a good tutorial of how to do it, that would be nice. Also, when I open lenuix through mech assualt, i have the option to un-install the soft mod but no option to restore ms dashboard. If i chose to unistall the softmod, does that restore the ms dashboard also?

Eeprom.bin does not restore your xbox to an unmodded state. If you have unleash X dash, goto your settings and click "Restore Unmodded Xbox"

Should be in "System" then goto Backup Menu, then select Restore Unmodded xbox.

if what he said isnt on your dash then u might need to go to Waffle Zone Tools, then i think its backups, restore unmodded backup.

Okay, are these options supposed to be in the modded dashboard that loads everytime I start my xbox, or are these options in the linuix program I load with mech assualt.

I wouldn't unmod that xbox if I were you. My friend had the exact same problem. He replaced the files in his C drive with his unmodded backup files and, still had the same problem except now he can't even access his modded dash. His box is now completly hosed he can't even play games offline it just goes straight into an error message in like 10 different languages. He called customer service and they told him that his there was a problem with his hard drive and it would cost $80 to fix it. If I were you I'd look for an autoupdate installer for Halo 2.

Tell him to go to xbox-scene and search Xboxhdm That fixed my problem and saved me 80 bucks.
