"Proper" chunk adding. Need help!!

Well I was following this tutorial
here(using the map relic) when I got to the part where it says to open the copy of the meta that was renamed, and i realized I didnt know what to open it with. So i opened it in hex workshop. When I looked for the string 288l3900l33 or what ever it was, I couldn't find it. If any one could help with chunk adding, that would make me very happy.

288 is the reflexive offset.
3900 is the reflexive translated offset (where it points).
33 is the chunk count.
the only thing (in this case) that is the same between maps is the offset (288) the other's will be totally different.

FTW... if u cant find those numbers just do control+F and it will open the find window... then just type in that string of numbers and bam u have the numbers..
