A few small problems ...

Hi all. I'm new to the site and to modding. Sorry if any of the questions I ask are stupid, but, I am a n00b.

1) After replacing the meta of a weapon with the rocket launcher so I can shoot a different projectile out of it, i can't seem to get it to fire the projectiles like it should.

Example: I swapped the metas and such to create a battle rifle that fired sniper bullets. I had no problems with getting it to do so, and it works for everyone. The only problem is it shoots one shot at a time, like a normal rocket launcher. How can I go about changing the weapon so that it fires like a battle rifle again?

2) I would like to create a magnum that fires like the pistol from Halo: CE. I don't care about how it looks or whatever, I just want a Magnum that fires and zooms like the Pistol from CE.

First I just set the magnum to have 1 zoom level, min and max set to 2. Then I set the acquire target distance to match that of the battle rifle. Problem with this method is the accuracy .... the reticule is red but I can't hit anything from BR range, not to mention the fact that when I zoom in i have no aiming reticule.

Then i duplicated and swapped metas for the BR. Did everything right, I have a pistol that fires and is as accurate as the battle rifle from BR range, but still no aiming reticule when I zoom in. Also, it takes more than 12 shots to the head to kill some one with the magnum now.

How can I get the zoom feature of the BR to transfer over to the magnum, and how would I go about increasing the damage of the shots from the magnum.

1: do not meta swap. open weapon in weap tag. in dependencies you will see proj. click on it. in the scroll down thing pick your new proj.
2: idk i havent working zoom on a non-zoom weapon.

u can change 1 of the damage effects(jpt!) to change how much damage the pistol causes dont no about the rectical but it might involve bitmaps

^Thanks so much for that. I've decided that using the HUD from the BR will do me well enough. Yeah, it kind of sucks showing as a BR in the top right corner, but it gets the job done.

Yea, you have to have that BR in the corner if you want the zoom function. Note, if you ever just want the reticule, you can edit that in the dependancies of the hud.

this works fine for me and you wont be able to see the proj(if your not modding) but swap the meta offsets of the proj not the weapons
