I was just looking at one of those 3d screenshots that bungie took, and their explanation on how they took it. They said that they had an application that could change the game's speed (make it go to 0). Is it possible that somebody could make a trainer that lets you change the game speed to 0 during the game, and then move the camera (with no hud) around?

MAN! Now that would be sweet. If only someone knew what the offset was and how to manipulate it correctly then i bet it could be done.

Yes it is possible and I tried a while back to find the gamespeed function in Halo 1 with no luck. I plan on giving it another shot sometime in the near future.

Do you already know what the game speed is at normally?

In halo 1 I believe it was 20. If you're taking 3d screens of something stationary then I suggest using this for now. Just center the camera in whatever object you plan on rotating around, then increase the depth and you can easily rotate slowly while taking pics ;)

PErhaps you can use what ever the start menu does in singleplayer to freeze everything.... or something like that.

Good thinking. I wonder if there are any linkings in MP maps for some sort of thing like that.

Alright I've been able to freeze time by using the pause menu as a way of searching. Doesn't freeze particles as of yet but thats just because I didn't hook into the gamecode...other than that it works great.

By particles... you mean projectiles and sparks? and was this done in multiplayer or Singleplayer?

Yes, by particles I mean all particle physics, including sparks, dust, smoke, whatever...there seem to be many individual speed values for all parts of the game, around 216 addresses that deal with the gamespeed to be exact. Right now I've just been changing the byte that indicates whether its paused or not, but that doesn't freeze everything because I haven't been doing it properly yet. When I get some time to research it I'll have a little more info but it does work for sp and mp.

Does it work in system link (is that what you mean by multiplayer?)?

Well how would that work in system link, would it pause globaly? or would only one side pause, then suddenly there's like floating projectiles and stuff while the other xbox walks around confused?
