Ive been looking around for a while and researching on how to mod some maps.

These are the steps i took:
1) I backed up my Maps from Halo 2 (the ones on downloadable content.) 2)The first map i wanted to try was Sanctuary and i saw a cool skin for it. 3)I took the .serenity file and deltatap.map patched them together.
4)So my output file was deltatap.map but this time patched.
5)I ftped the file and overwrited the original. (E:/TDATA/4d530064)
6)Then i deleted the X: Y: and Z: drives to get rid of the cache.
7)So then why i tried to play Sanctuary (the patched version) it wouldnt load and it just said "You failed to load the map."

can someone tell me what i did wrong?
is it becuase i didnt copy my halo 2 to the harddrive, but i didnt think i needed to becuase the maps i was using were already on my harddrive.

you forgot to resign it and you have to resign it with the original signature

resign? guess i didnt research it all. can you send me in the right direction to resign the map?

look for a map resigner by metal mulisha in the forums he posted a download link. the program he wrote allows u to sign original and dlc maps. works great i never have to delete cache or anything. the problem with most resigners and failing to load is thier not new enough sig's thier to old. try that
