How to get the pelican in MP and fly it? Help please

hey guys im trying to get the pelican in headlong and fly it. i used insolence and dragged the objects\vehicles\pelican\pelican from my campaing map VEHI to my Headlong VEHI. It also copied the object\vehicles\pelican\pelican_rear_gun\pelican_rear_gun and objects\vehicles\pelican\pelican_rocket_pod\pelican_rocket_pod. So how do i get it to spawn in the map now and fly it? i use DotHalo and Insolence. Thanks for any help. i did search on this topic, but the main one i found was for halo CE. I need this for Halo 2 on xbox. Thanks

EXACTLY HOW TO GET A PELICAN IN MULTIPLAYER HALO 2 FOR XBOX

Step-1 Open Maps First, open Insolence.
Now, open the multiplayer map in which you would like to play with the
driveable pelican. Also open 05a_deltaapproach.map. Step-2 Drag and
Drop To add the vehicle you must drag over the vehicle pelican. It will
drag over the other pelican vehicles for you. Navigate your way to the
pelican under the vehi tag. Drag and drop it from 05a_deltaapproach.map
to your map that you want the pelican in. Step-3 MoveBox Each time you
drag & drop a tag, a small status box will pop up to give you
information about what the program is doing while you wait. The longest
part is usually "Relinking" and it may seem like it froze.. It didn't,
it just has to do a lot of file reading & writing at this point, so
let it be. When the move is done, the box will go away. Step-4 Close
unneeded maps Close 05a_deltaapproach.map Step-5 Fix Seats Since this
vehicle was made for campaign you are going to need to change many
string indincies. Select the pelican vehicle and double click it. Then
underneath the change plugins there should be the following text "IFP
Plugin-"Vehi"Edit mode". Click it and it will change and say "IFP
Plugin-"Vehi"Dev mode". From there go to Seats under Reflexives.
Underneath the words "Author: Iron_Forge" There is a drop down bar with
and arrow on the right side with a bunch of numbers. We will only need
to edit 0-11. Under the 0 change the first string ID to "warthog_d".
Then you are done. Go to 1, and change the first string ID to
"spectre_p_r". Do the same for 2-10. For number 11 change the first
string ID to "warthog_g". Step-6 Adding the pelican First go to 'map
options' in the upper left corner and go to 'sort by path'. Then click
multiplayer, and select "multiplayermultiplayer_globals.mulg". Double
click it. Got to Dev mode and choose unkown 2. Choose Vehicles under
that, and choose number 2 in the upper right drop down box. Double click
the ID and change it to pelican, you can do the same for number 3, then
there are no more tanks, only pelicans. Step-7 Fix encryption Go to
'map options' in the upper left, and click 'fix map signature' and wait
10-20 seconds, usually less. Then ftp it over to your xbox and enjoy.
Note: The pelican will be flipping wildly, but if you flip it and hold
x near the drivers seat you will get in and drive.


Now that ive done it, how do i get in and drive exactly? Also when flipping it, and about 1 minute into the game, my xbox freezes for some reason? Does anyone know what might be wrong? Is there anything on the Pelican that needs to be Nulled out?

you could get a banshee and change it's models.

can you elaborate on the banshee thing? what do you mean? give the pelican banshee sounds or somthing?

Ok since my last post i have thought of 2 ways to do what you want.

1st to change models you go into the banshee dependencies and swap it's mode(l) tags with the pelican mode(l) tags. Test it out if you want. If you don't I might do it and post pics and maybe even a small tutorial. T_mann i'm NR Driver ingame on kai so next time you see me if ya need any help lemme know.

2nd You may be able to duplicate the wraith or some other large object in a map and inject the meta for the pelican or something.

im try to drag and drop but it won't let me im use dot.halo

also i tryed tryed extact and inject meta but i says the meta bringing injected is bigged than the original meta

Was "choose unknown 2" a typo or is it true. is it actually unknown 1. I don't know. Because when we do all of this, we go around that and we chose Multiplayer and then unknown 2. is that what we have to do? We did everything our way & it doesn't work. make this tutorial in more of a paragraph form. but answer this question as fast as humanly possible because he has to go home tonight.

one more thing. whenever other people from different system links try to connect, or people from my system link try to join it stays in the blue screen and they never join. how can i fix this?

Dont double post.

-And the pelican will always violently flip, unless you can spawn it perfectly balanced. But as soon as you get out...

-An easier way to get in the pelican is to simply extend the distance at which you enter a vehicle at. Then you wont get hit by the pelican and get launched across the map.

someone please answer my question. and also, if you can, tell me how to make the pelican perfectly balanced on coag, if i switched it with the ghost meta.
