old map modding help

i recently downloaded a modded lockout and it doesnt seem to be working :\
when i go to play the map it is the origonal one

did you get a ppf? did you get a serenity? well you have to apply the patch then sign the map then send it to your xbox overwriting your old map.

yeah you need to resign it, but if you didnt sign it it should fail to load, not run the unmodded one. your running halo off your hard drive without the cd in right?

yep off the cd....
and then i tried with the cd :\
none worked...
but when i signed it, the thing sayed to enter my own sign number thing so i did and that might be the prob :S

i use ch2r to sign the maps or dothalo, you dont need to put in any numbers. you cant run the map off the cd, you need halo 2 on your xbox hard drive to run the maps.

ok then i have it on my hard drive iv had it on there since yesterday i think :\
can i get onto xbox live to mod with friends for fun, with the cd still?

if your xbox is modded you will be banned, thats the easiest way to put it

the only thing im banned from is match making :\
u have 6 hours till ur banned from mm which i didnt go into
and i got banned from it.
then i got a message saying i can still enjoy xbox live custom games with friends
