I am getting really mad because when i try to apply a serenity patch i put the serenity patch in and then i take a clear map that isnt modded and copy that into the other two the source and out put and it keeps getting an error What am i doing wrong

U put the name\location u want the serenity saved.

For source u find the clear map.

Then for output goto a new folder without the clear map put in whatever name u want it will save it there

alright i just tried that and when i put my serenity patch into the first slot it automaticaly put two ascension map files in it and i tried that and it says


An unhandled exception has occured in your application.

then it says file or assembly name (bunch of letters), or one of its dependencies was not found

When i try to do what you said it says this map file already exists would you want to overwrite it. ??????

but if i try to rename one of them it doesnt help

ok did u rename the output and also the thing u tied wont work cuz it doesnt know where the clear map is.

Serenity.... C:\Halo Modding Kit\my coag.serenity ex.

Source...... C:\Halo Modding Kit\coagulation.map ex.

OutPut...... C:\Halo Modding Kit\my coag.map ex.

Those are examples your case may be differant wityh files or folders but that what u should do then just rename it to its original name if u dont mind overwriting or if its a mod with a mainmenu patch then follow the examples i.e serenity is called Hell Hole name the output map Hell Hole

Anywho, an easy way would be to PPF isntead of Serenity. People like PPF's better because they can apply them right in Dothalo.

ok for all im going to show how to apply a serenity!
first this is the patch!!

second this is the unmodded .map

third this is the output map that will be ftp to you xbox, save it to a folder

Sorry im douoble posting guys but i did exactly wat you did but it still says the same message as i told you before This is wat i did

1)Get the Patch and the Unmodded map and copy the map twice both in different folders
2)then i unzip the .serenity patch and open up serenity
3)I go to apply and click on the first three little dots and double click the serenity patch
4)Then I go to the next three dots and double click the unmodded map
5)then finnaly i go to the last three little dots and click on the other unmodded map and rename it as the same as the serenity patch and then i double click it
6)then i click apply or wat ever and it comes up with the message i told u before

Wat am i doing wrong? Am i not suppose to name the map the same as the serenity patch or wat?

Dude Please use your edit button all u do is bump up a topic that ppl wont answer b/c u keep double posting.

First off go get serenity 2.0. Then try what we said again on a fresh copy OFF OF THE DVD.

OK that is (most likely) the problem.

If u get that error again the person who made the mod may have made the serenity wrong or it got corrupted when u downloaded it or something.

Ask the person who made the mod to see if they can make another one and send it to u or post it on the files forum if thats the case.

Edit:: I guess by the lack of a response u relized it was an error on your part prolly that u didnt use a fresh copy of the map you were trying to patch
