plasma rifle sticky

i made my plasma rifle shoot stikies, but it shoots two for some reason. i slowed the rate of fire so there isnt a ton of them shooting all over the place, but when you pull the trigger one comes out, then after a sec a second one comesout, even if you let go of the trigger. any ideas?
