Hey guys this is my first post in the forums section. I have been in the modding community for YEARS as with Halo 1 and such. I got into modding Halo 2 this year so I could make some cool movies and such..... I was just wondering HOW you could inject Pelicans that could fly across Zanzibar..... I have already got ODST's and MC's for my characters and would like some Pelicans in it. Also how would you go by placing models with collision in maps? I mean I want stuff like the medical bay and the armored walls near it (The ones that are man made for protection against fire) and all because I want to finish this movie off that I have been working on. Also is it possible to ADD that scenery without using a hex editor in a map? Sorry if any of these questions sound like ass but I am new to the Halo 2 side of Halo modding so forgive me. Anyway thanks for helping!

if you drop and drag the pelican from a single player map into your map. then you can copy an itmc of the frag grenade and change it to shoot a copy of a rocket that has the hlmt switched to that of the pelican. then go to the scnr tag and into netgame equiptment and then you can change one of the frag grenades from there into the frag grenade itmc that you copied and made. then whenever that item spawns on the map, it makes a rocket that shoots in what ever direction the itmc you replaced in the collections tag is set to. you can also move it around so that the pelican would fly by in the sky... but it will blow up when it hits stuff...

if you need any more help just ask :)

Hmm sounds a little long for that to work effectively.... I saw a Mod Of The Month where Banshees were crashing into Zanzibar and Pelicans were flying overhead..... How did those guys do it?

thats probly exactly how they did it :) (to make them fly by that is)

if you want the pelican to be driveable then you can just drag and drop it into your map and change the warthog vehc to spawn the pelican instead... then you would have to null the sounds that the pelican makes so that the game doesnt freeze... then you would need to change the seats so that you could get into them and drive them...

it wouldnt be so much work if they had a map editor that supported sound :(
