External Bitmaps and...

There are a couple things I want to get cleared up. First, I skinned my map but some parts aren't skinned because they are external. I dont know if there is something I need to do to link them or what. Second, I dont want the maps that also use that texture to be skinned like that. Also, I want to put projectiles in from a single player map, how can I transfer them? They need to be linked through shared.map or something.
And one last thing. If I skin a warthog (After my external bitmap question is answered...), will it affect all the warthogs on every map?

(this is what I read.."This is an external bitmap so your going to need the shared.map file in the same folder as the map you have open right now.... ", does that mean it has to be in the same folder only when editing it or also in the maps folder?, because I want to skin containment but I cant just put shared.map in the TDATA folder with it can I?)

everything thats external has to be edited on the shared map file.

ok I edited the standard_warthog bitmap but it didnt show up on the warthog. I also cant find the regular banshee's bitmap.

For the warthog you need to skin it in shared.map or in your multiplayer map (dosnt matter), but you need to re sign shared.map and then ftp that map onto your hdd. :D

Or use Bitmap Adder (search files forum) it makes the External Bitmap you select, Internal. And editable.

yah I gots it....but what banshee bitmap do I edit to edit the one in multiplayer? There herectic and one other but no plain old purple banshee... :?
