I need to know how to make a map darker. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Editing Lightmaps
open ur map in adi and go to bitmaps find the bitmap/level/lightmap tag and go to the special editor for it enjoy but dont screw around with it to much make a backup copy o9f the map try out a % of darkness if u dont like it copy the map and do it again on an unmodded map if u keep changing it on a modded one it will rly screw the colors up trust me i lost a good map this way

yes that is the bad but easy way to do it, the long way is
1) extract the meta data for the lightmaps under the bitmap tag in ADI
2) open the meta data in Hex Workshop
3) hit the replace button and replace 12000912 with 10000302 (should replace a fair few)
4) inject it back over the old meta data
5) now you will notice the bitmaps for all the lightmaps have a DXT format
6) in adobe create pictures of the various sizes used with the brightness you want in your map (white = bright, black = dark) you know how it use, use grays or a touch fo colour for kewl effects.
7) the long process of injecting all the bitmaps over the old crappy ones
