Extracting Skins

Ok, I am wondering what program will allow me to extract a skin.
I searched around but I couldn't find this specific question/answer.
I would like to use Insolence, H2 Edit, or Dot Halo. Also, would there be an injecting thing too so once I edit the skin I can inject it? I thought there should be some sort of basic tutorial on extracting and injecting halo 2 skins.
