modding the update patch... i need pro's

alright, im a soft modder, and i am trying to mod the update patch (default.xbe) (i need to mod this file so i can play on xbox live with out getting banned, i do not plan to mod in ranked games just custom games, but then be able to turn my mods off and play ranked games) i was told that it had to be modded with a hex editor though i have no idea what to modify in the program. i am not even sure if this is the right file to mod, so if any one has any other ideas they would be of great help.

Ok.... I don't think you will really have to. But what I'd do is search for it on some wierd german websites....
But, a nifty trick that I'll pass on to you is, If you want to do the new maps. Just mod the map, and put it in the tdata folder for halo(it ends in 064). All the maps will be there, just search some of the directories and put your modded maps there. NO MATCHMAKING.

If your going to play on live, either
A. Get another xbox.
B. Dont mod
