HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Ok everybody, i'm trying to soft-mod my xbox, i have everything, Splinter Cell, Action Replay, ppf-o-matic, Dothalo, Linux Profiles, but i don't know how to work ppf-o-matic and Dothalo. Some ppl told me that i have to get the map file and put it through ppf-o-matic but i don't know where to get the map file. So does anybody know where EXACTLY where i can get the map files.

Oh yea i already know how to get my xbox softmodded, i just need help with ppf-o-matic and Dothalo.

I would also like to find a tutorial on dot halo and how to use it. And yes I searched the scene and came up with nada. There must be someplace to get instructions for this.

You get the .map files from your Xbox.

Dont worry about dothalo, ppfomatic yet. You need to softmod your x-box first using your splinter cell and linux saves. Then you can ftp the maps from your x-box to your computer. Flashfxp is a great program for this. Depending on how you are going to connect your x-box to your computer will determine how you ftp. (Router...hub... directly to pc, etc.)

After you have a direct connection, go to your modded xx-box dash and get your ip. Connect to it with your ftp program. Your all set . Then for ppfomatic...you put the .map on top...and the .ppf patch on the bottom.

(Make sure you make backups of your maps )

i do believe asking for how to mod your box on this part of the forum is against the rules so all i have to say for your first question is Xbox-scene. next is that you dont get map files you get ppf patches which you use ppf-o-matic and apply it to the correct map file, very easy to use. now for dothalo i so happen to manage to find a basic tutorial on the basics DotHalo Basics, hope this will help you
