Night Vision Trouble

I'm hoping someone can help me with Night Vision and a flashlight on a battle rifle. I'm trying to create the same effects as in Aequita's Cassiopeia map. His sniper rifle has a Night Vision effect that appears only when you pick it up and his battle rifle has an attached flashlight that only appears on that particular weapon. I am not trying to steal his ideas, I just would like to put them in a Night map of Coagulation that I have. I have read all the topics on Night vision, but they didn't really explain anything that well. I have also read Aequitas' views on night vision: "It's been done move on." I just think it's a cool effect on both guns and would like to know how it was done so I can add those effects to a coagulation map. I have tried numerous things, but apparently I'm an idiot when it comes to modding anything more than a simple swap. Any information that would help me is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Ok, it doesn't look like anyone knows or don't want to divulge their secrets. Could someone help me learn how to add chunks using a hex editor then? I know I have to add a light chunk to the end of the weapon.meta. I know for the battle rifle, the light chunk starts at 148, but I don't know how far it goes and how much I have paste into the end of the weapon.meta and I also don't know how to reference it in the weapon.meta.data file. Also, how would I go about adding an attachment point to the battle rifle model? Any advice would help. Thanks
