searched and searched but... (flying turret)

hi guys, i have been doing quite a bit of reading, and come up with some nice mods to share with my friends on xbc. recently i have been reading and reading about flying turrets, but cant seem to get it nailed down.

first i tried with ch2r, just went into the vehi tag, ticked flying, f-n crazy hog, and hog/banshee physics, then used speed/strife/turn ect. ect, values from a hog... when the turret comes out (charged bolt PP), its stationary just as if it were mounted on a hog.

next in dothalo, i tried swapping the meta with that of the banshee and ended up not being able to board the turret in any way shape or form from any angle/position.

now i am sure this was covered at some point somewhere on these forums, but i'll be damned if i can find it... if i havent searched every applicable forum at least 10 times, i havent looked at all. i am at my wits end here, any help would be much appreciated

you could try changing the turrets tag to vehi and then just check the flying box and check if it has seats... if it doesnt then use glichys seat adder to add one and it should work im 50/50 here

i thought the same thing at first, but its already a vehicle. it has a seat already as well... maybe i'll make it a driving seat instead of a boarding seat ... just not sure how that would effect the use of the turret though.

did the DB of the board get lost or something? i know this had to be covered by now.

well, making it a driving seat didnt work. also enabled a hidden seat... though you cand do anything once your in it... cant even get out of it... anyway, anyone have any ideas?

ok open the mod you want it on in dot halo. go to the [Vehi] tag and select the banshee. Copy the meta offset of that and open of the gauss turret in the [Vehi] tag. paste the meta offset and save changes. then go to dependencies window with gauss turret open and change the hlmt back to the gauss turrte. then save changes make a weapon shoot it. and the modder can't fly it btw o yea and to the modder it will look like people are lying down on it but on their screen they are standing in it.
