new to halo 2 modding

i want this for system link i have no need to cheat i just wanted to be able to change want me and my freinds can shoot out of what guns and a good editor for it i was also woundering if i had to have halo 2 installed onto my xbox to mess with the new maps....also i have a stock hd will halo 2 fit on that or can i just chose what to go on there like all maps? ty in advance if you could help me any please aim me at shadownights 23

Well a good proggram to use is all in one which is somewhere on these forms. Next I have h2 installed on my hd but it was a very tight squzze. I had to delet the credits from the actuall copy so it could fit.

if you only wanna mod the old maps it is really easy u dont need h2 on your hd because the content dl's r on your hd

To mod the OLD maps, you DO need Halo 2 on your HD, but shouldn't this have been asked in the Halo 2 section? I get my hopes up every time someone posts here because I still activley mod Halo 1... And every time I look to see... it's Halo 2 crap...
