Dangerous?

my friend tried to mod his xbox, and it worked, we had the speed, jump, all that. Then when we tried to go online, it siad its not responding. So he decided that hed rather have XBL than the mods, so he uninstalled it. Then when we restarted his xbox it said xbox live is not responding, then went to an updating screedn and it just kept doin that. I want to mod i just dont want to wreck my xbox!
