I just want to mod veichles and weapons. where do i start?

i have ftp, modded xbox, and one modified map on my HD.
thats my experiance so far. now i want to add/make my own moddified weapons and veichles in lets say a game type, so i can use them on every map.

i need some links and a little help on how to get started.

You can only mod .map files for that kind of thing, not mod game types.

Basically, if you wanted a rocket launcher to shoot out a vehi, you would have to do the same thing to every map in order for every map's rocket launcher to have the same properties.
