New maps fail to load.

First of all, I dont have Xbox Live anymore after replacing my HD with a larger one. (Marriage theory, damn them) With that out of the way, I like alot of these mods on here like Canzibar, Dawn of War, Floodlong, ect...and whenever I mod the new maps to be similar to them with the weapons (Shooting grenades, flash lights on, better needler) they always fail to load. I was curious if there was a way to get around this so i can finally make some patches to give to friends for LAN parties. Theres no fun having 100 modded maps and 4 maps that you cant touch. Any help would be appreciated to not only me, but my room mate who is absolutely sick of the maps failing. Thanks.

I've resigned everything, but it still fails to load. Thanks for the advice with the sticky, but it really doesnt help my problem.

Have you gotten any mods, at all to work? I've heard of "broken mods" just going black after your start them, but I haven't really ever heard of them not loading, except for in the case of not signing them.

I snatch the new map, put it on the PC from the TDATA folder, open it up in DotHalo, edit my weapon values and skins, resign the map thanks to TF6, and then shoot it back into the TDATA folder, clear the cache, and boot it up. I found a few PPF patches from a site with a few "hacks" to use against other hackers on Xbox Live and they work, no map failing. (Too bad i dont have xbox live eh?) But the problem with that is i want to upload new skins, not some crappy auto aim patch. Any suggestions? (I dont have my maps in the F: drive along with the game because i run the game off the cd, not enough room to back it up.

If you load a map from the TDATA folder the signature CANT change, otherwise it wont load. You must add the map to the mainmenu and put it in the maps folder.

wait wait wait, so by mainmenu do you mean the folder where all the other maps are stored? and do i also copy those wierd lvl patch v3 and contentmeta files too?

just the .maps... then you have to add them to the mainmenu

EDIT: do i delete the warlock in the tdata folder? or do i leave it?

no no no don't delete it...that wouldn't be good. just transfer it to the maps folder where you backed up halo 2. and you have to open mainmenu.map in dothalo and add the maps to the list, so they will be selectable.

know how some weapons freeze when you go to pick them up if whoever makes the mod f*s up.... Well ive noticed when I have the primary weapon the one that got screwed up, it causes the black screen at start.
