Another question about Xbox LIVE banning.....

Well there was a post similar to this about someone wondering if they were banned cuz they tried to go online with a softmod.....well I have a slightly different question. I accidentally tried to sign onto LIVE with my chip on last night, but it wouldn't connect (It brought up the "Start Troublshooter" screen). I finnaly figured out that my chip was on, so I turned it off. Then I could sign onto LIVE fine. This morning, however, I try to sign on and the "Start Troubleshooter" screen comes up again. My chip is off. When I do start the troubleshooter, the final step says "Could not connect to Xbox LIVE because your hardware/software may have been modified." WTF??? If I was banned, wouldn't they say "you are banned"?? What should I do?

in the ms dashboard go to settings and for xbox live or w/e change your UP address and everything else to default

I sounds like your banned. If you are you need a new EEPROM and HDDKEY.

he's not banned, it happened to me too when i changed the IP address so I could FTP to my xbox from my computer

lol nope I'm banned...I did one of those insta-chats with a M$ rep, and she pretty much rubbed it in my face
. Dam...guess I need to buy a new EEPROM....this sucks

lol sorry I didn't see that earlier...yeah, that's basically saying you have a modchip or softmod so you get banned

well basically I asked her if I would ever be able to sign back onto LIVE with the xbox that was modded, and her response was "Well, we don't offer ANY modding assistance, but no, you won't be able to." And I said, "There is nothing I can do whatsoever?" And she says "Nope. Anything else I can help you with?" And I thought, yeah, get an attitude adjustment, then get ready for Chron1c to get back on LIVE cuz I WILL find a way (which it just so happens I did
)

I'll just tell u how here, cuz I don't think it is illegal in these forums. You need to get a new EEPROM, either from a friend without XBL that has a modded xbox, or you can get one from a seller. You also need a new HDD (as far as I know: MAYBE you could get buy with just an HDDkey, but I don't know how it works...). Then you update the EEPROM after installing the new HDD. Bam, live is baaaack

nice story. I WANT to get banned from xbox live and not get back on. Could someone contact me and tell me how to cheat on XBL or something.
I like that moderator or whoevers idea was to have Bungie act like Blizzard. Where some days mods are ok and then others there not.

yes your banned, same happend to me on the 3'd day i got my xbox:(
So now i got a new xbox not modded:)
