360 Exclusive Halo 2 Maps on Xbox 1

Well, thanks for that info Mammoth. That certainly doesn't bode well for this little project. It does make sense considering the multiplayer wide modifications to game with the 1.1 update would require altering the xbe. I should have known that myself, but like I said, my knowledge of Halo modding is limited. I guess that leaves three possible outcomes:
1. The 360's emulator updates the default.xbe that is stored in data, and will allow it to run the new maps, whereas the original xbe, or an updated xbe on the original xbox will be unable to do so. This will require the bsp injection workaround.
2. The 360 alters the xbe, but the altered xbe can be transfered to the original xbox and still run. This option is extremely unlikely.
3. The 360 does not alter the xbe, and the maps should boot on an original xbox with no problem.

It looks like option 1 is what we will most likely encounter. If so, its possible that what ever protection they use will scramble the map on both the original xbox, and if they are really smart, also all of the existing map modding tools. Once again, lets hope this isn't so.
