player spawns

player spawns

Is there a way i can make link player spawns with game types?

What i mean is when i choose to play slayer, could i make it have different spawns then when i play Tower O Power?

The reason is on my hopfuly soon to be released mod, during regular game play spawn will be normal, but when playing a custom game type im working on everyone will spawn on the new extension of my map.

I know i can make teleporters, thats not my goal, Im make one map into two, by giving players the option to play in to different envirnments built into one make, chosen by gametype.

Ok i have a complex solution...

Let's say that anitmc(collection) won't be used on your map, so this itmc will have as dependency a mach.

Now you can enable or disable the collection spawn on your gametype as you can do to remove some weapon types in the h2 gametype options(human weaps or covie weaps etc), so that's the way the gametype could be used as "optionnal"

Option 1:

You could use the Dune(Relic) mach used to disable teleporters, and then when you switch to the gametype that doesn't spawn the collection which is that mach, the players that will take that spawn will be teleported to another part of the map.

Place the teleporter entrance at the ground level, the mach over the teleporter so the player can't access to the teleporter and then place the player spawn above those.

Depending of the gametype the itmc collection will or not be spawn(so we're talking about the mach) and so the teleporter will be locked or not.

Option 2:

-Use a biped or a vehi to block the player spawn.


My example may be confusing... feel free to ask any question :wink:

thanx for the quick help, but im trying to edit starting spawn points, for different game types.

where the whole match would be played on one level of map for one game type, and the other level of map for a seperate game type.

Kinda like team player spawns are different from non team... I think i my answered my own question sorta.
