System link problems.....still....

System link problems.....still....

Both my mods, as well as one i downloaded a long ass time back are having problems with others loading....i have had some more research with this, and still dont know what the hell the problem is, it would be really nice to have some real help for once instead of some one telling me to search.....

Dune mod:
**Racetrack mod going all the way around dune
**If people load the map, I have seen/heard the following issues:
--Track dose not load (witnessed myself, i load it, they dont)
--"I'm just falling into the water" -chris (track dose not load, they fall into the water instead of on the track, on my screen they are on the track, and some times move around or whatever, they die)
--"I thought this was relic" -xbc (wouldn't load)
--Others do not see any weapons on map, do not see the tack, can only see the floating tower, ramps from tower, and shields....
--Map freezes if i try to use Entity's 'Fix system link' option (not really sure how to use, not sure if i just click it or if im supposed to go to every tag i changed or what, but it froze the map trying)
--same issues weather the non modder loads from E, F, or disc, also same if Non/modder HAS the exact same dune map as the modder.

Coag mod:
**Mod has many banshees, 4 soccerballs spawn over duped ITMC tags in the middle, and 12 Containment cores spawn over a BLOC/tire html put over a duped ITMC tag (just putting it over the duped ITMC and spawning though netgame/collections caused the map to freeze)
**I have tested this map though my modded xbox and though system link using my 360, i believe mostly all the problems are connected to/the same issue as the dune mod
--Non modder (me on 360) has a delayed respawn (screen will be black or say '0 seconds till respawn', player will respawn after a while)
--When the non modder attempts to get into a vehicle, vehicle takes off, non modder is still on food, but from the non modders view he/she can contoll the vehicle along with foot motions (L trigger causes player to throw a gernade and boost), modder see's non in the banshee and not on the ground
--Non modder dose not see the already spawned soccerballs, nor dose he/she see the already spawned OR the newly spawned Cores (cores keep respawning from assigned area while playing)
--Fixing system link with entity appears to have done absoutely nothing
--non modder gets killed by the cores that are visible on the modders screen and not the non's, appears to keep living on non's screen, if tries to kill modder -will push modder and around and junk- but will not kill, will die later (delayed death from wich the non's cannot see (cores))
--Only some banshee's show up (ex, have 4 spawning on top of each base, only 3 spawned when i looked though 360)

Would really appreciate help, and not 'ok this is your problem, go fix it' then you leave the post forever, help me till i have the dam problem fixed....

Well it seems like you're trying to play with non-modders. Very few mods are visible to non-modders. So just try playing with people who have the same map as you.

They have the same problems when they have the map as well - had my buddie over with his modded box and we had the same dune, still wouldnt work, i dont know about all the coag probelms, but i know that the items that were in game while/before i joined would not show, only the ones he fired afterwords.

yes, on the dune mod it froze the map, on coag it didnt seem to do anything....i just have to like open map and hit it right? or do i have to like go to eevry tag i changed and fix everything?

sure why not...

can any one tell me simply why the non modders are like dummy'ing? Im sure right now that if i took out the cores and soccerballs, and just left the banshees on, i can bassically have what i wanted out of this mod - a ton of banshees ><, but they will prolly still be all glitchy, so how the hell do i fix that?

I am pretty sure I understand the question, but I need to know if what you used for the racecouse was from a different map, because if it was, non-modders will not be able to use it.

And also, I've added chunks before to spawn things that were already included on the map, but others couldn't see or use them(such as a banshee)

In order to fix this, I didn't spawn the vehicles by adding chunks, but instead replaced the grenades that existed on the map with the vehicle I wanted.
So that way everyone could see what I did (which is how I made my racetracks so sys-linkable)

Also, if you just do that, you won't have to press "fix system link" and screw up your map, since that doesn't seem to be working for you.

for the dune mod I think I added chunks, but for my coag mod, it freezes if i try.....all the banshee's that i put in were put over gernades and such, as well as the soccerballs, and cores......i would expect people to be able to at least see all the bansee's, but they dont...

if i take out the cores and the balls, will it scync them up any more so it dosent look like there dummied or something?

If you add things to the map, no matter what you do, they will not be able to see those objects, and very rarely will much else work correctly!

And the 'Fix System Link' button is for setting up added objects for system link. Added objects don't work for playing with people who don't have them. You should never press this button if you're making mods to play with people that don't have the mod.


What did you expect would happen when you added objects to the map that they didn't have? Their xbox would magically realize it needed to load the soccer ball out of metropolis and into the game?

Hmm, cant help but see that as a bit of a snotty response...

yea i guess i did expect it to 'magically load', since i have played with people after downloading patches, and they can see and use the track just as i can, and since i can shoot the soccerball and they can see it, im sure there has to be a way for them to be able to see the ones that already spawn on the map....

And again - There also not able to see all the BANSHEES, (wich, if you cant tell, are already in the map!), and i dont care as much to have them see the ball and the cores as much as i want them to be able to see all the banshees, And most of all, be able to acctually move around like normal....

If i take out the shit they cant see, are they gonna be able to move right and see the banshees - i would assume that if they crap they cant see is moving normally it could be casuing them to lag/dummie....

Also, if its really important that they get banshees, why not just newb your way over to Dothalo and swap the rocket projectile for a banshee?

By newb your way over, i mean take the noob's way out :wink:

If you're playing with people who don't have the mod and they tell you they see the soccer ball too, they're lying and the either have the mod or don't see the soccer ball.

*sigh*......They DONT see the dam mod........and by The, i mean me, i tried with unmodded 360....they cant......

And for shootin the banshees out of the rocket, i want them spawning on the map like any other vehicle.....i have the rocket shooting like 100 rockets (still never changed the ammo on it ><) at once....
