Projectile colors

I have seen this in many recent mods, I was wondering how to change the colors of plasma and such...

it'd be nice if someone could link to or write a tut for this, I couldn't find one anywhere

I'm guessing he means something like the plasma rifle projectile. (take the blue one) he may want to make it green or purple. For that you could use turks tutorial.
