help with serenity auto patcher

Post by baldylocks »

originally posted under wrong section :oops: so i moved it. my bad.....

i downloaded the serenity auto patcher, which comes with serenity v3.2, so that's what i used to create my serenity patches. i put the patches in the serenity patches folder, and i put the clean maps in the original maps folder. when i open the auto patcher to begin patching, a message appears telling me that i am missing maps. i am only testing this on four maps right now, the originals ascension, beavercreek, coag, and main menu. those are in the original maps folder. in the auto patcher, the patch names appear correctly, but the source map names are not correct or complete, and the output map names are totally illegible, just a conglomeration of numbers and symbols.

i know that the patches are working and good, i have manually applied all four to clean maps and got the modded results. does anyone know how to fix this issue? thanks in advance.

It probably starts with a map that you did not put in there. Is this for one of the map packs? If it is no reason to test it, put all the maps in there and it should be fine.

@rockymods:
i am making a mappack edition of halo 2.5 version 2.9.2. you can read about the project in our forums, just click the link in my sig. i am testing the patches i created to make sure the auto patcher will work before i patch all of the other maps, release the mappack, and waste a lot of time. i can assure you that the four original maps and the corresponding patches for those maps are in their correct folders.

@prey:
the patcher is the serenity auto patcher that is available on halomods under the halo 2 utilities section. the rared package includes a copy of serenity 3.2, which i used to create the patches from the modded maps.

Oh this? Hmm, I'm not sure what the problem could be.. seeing as you've said you can apply the mods manually.. hmmm..

Perhaps try opening up the serenity and setting the mainmenu path to the mainmenu in the original maps folder?

i left the main menu fuctions turned off when creating the patches because the main menu is modded as well, and has it's own serenity patch.
